Human Pyramids : Power Pose (to be released on 25th December, 2019)
All 13 songs, 42 minutes 7 seconds. Forever festive.
Six years have passed since Human Pyramids released their first album, ‘Planet Shhh!’, of which the first pressing sold out in just 10 days. And two years from the second album, ‘Home’, which came highly acclaimed by well-known music media outlets such as The Guardian, The Skinny, and Prog Magazine. Finally, the 14 piece cinematic instrumental rock orchestra produced by Scotland-based composer/mulch musical instrumentalist, Paul Russell, will release the long awaited third album, 'Power Pose’, on Christmas morning.
In recent years, Human Pyramids held a concert at Union Chapel in London, joined the The Great Escape, and shared the West Holts Stage with some renowned artists such as Underworld, James Blake, and Earth, Wind and Fire at Glastonbury Festival. One of the band members joined the recording for Radiohead's single 'Burn The Witch' as an instrumental player. Furthermore, the ground-breaking 360-degree VR video for 'Crackle Pop' included in the second album 'Home' was nominated for 'Best Debut VR Experience' at Raindance Film Festival and 'Best Interactive Music Video' at the UK Music Video Awards, alongside LCD Soundsystem, Foster the People and Pup. They have gained momentum and finally completed their best work.
The grand orchestration by strings section and wind instruments, the rhythm formed by brisk guitars and mighty drums and percussion, and lovely melodies composed by Paul Russell who often creates music for films and television, unite like a chemical reaction to make Human Pyramids' sound. And is it spellbinding!
This album was mixed at 'Chem 19' in Human Pyramids' home town, Glasgow, where MOGWAI, Arab Strap, and Aereogramme had also used in the past and was mastered by the Grammy Awards nominated engineer, Joe Lambert who is working with Dirty Projectors and Animal Collective in Jersey City in US..
Don't miss the new masterpiece from this instrumental rock orchestra and their exhilarating sound!!
