Oversleep Excuse : Universe (to be released on 7th June, 2018)

It has been 4 years since we released the first album 'Slowly Better' by Oversleep Excuse, a Tokyo-based alternative rock band made up of American, British, and Japanese musicians. This album featuring a steel-pan, a musical instrument originating from Trinidad, received many fans from avant-pop, electronica, and post-rock music scene such as The Album Leaf, Mice Parade, Radiohead, Sigur Rós, múm, The Appleseed Cast, and The Velvet Teen. Now, we are proud to release their second album 'Universe' on 7th June, 2018.
After headlining two music festivals, BAY BEATS in Singapore and Spring Scream in Taiwan, they created a new sound. Following the first album, this upcoming second album is filled with a sinking feeling such as electronica and post-rock music in North America and Europe, but also includes their own signature sound by using steel-pan, karimba, piano, and the gentle and languorous voice of the vocalist, Matthew. You will feel like you are walking on air once you hear their refreshing, bittersweet, and slightly twisted, pop music.
With this release, you can also get a post card designed by Russell Reed and Ricco Label's music catalog CD; All of which are also part of the CD package deals only available on the Ricco Label website.

To celebrate the release, Oversleep Excuse will hold a album release party at Shibuya O-NEST in Tokyo on 13th July, 2018. Their label mates, Anoice, and one of Oversleep Excuse's friends, Come to my Party, will also join as the opening acts.
