Andrew Jasinski : Sea(will be released on 2 December, 2014)
What if the setting of the 'Amélie' movie had been Scotland or Ireland?
This is the second album ‘Sea’ from Andrew Jasinski, the young Russian composer who can play many musical instruments including piano, guitar, harp or drums, as well as many countries native instruments; flute, darbuka, bouzouki, bagpipes. His broad talent is reminiscent of fellow multi-instrumentalist Yann Tiersen, the popular French composer who took charge of music of ‘Amélie'.
This beautiful album includes some solo piano tracks such as 'Sea', ‘Your Eyes' and 'Wind' with emotional melodies which will can move you to tears. And also, neo-classical/folktronica tracks such as 'В лесу родилась ёлочка...', 'Kastarvat', or 'Breton Dance (Andro)', featuring ethnic music from all over the world.
For all the fans of Yann Tiersen, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Keith Kenniff, and Hauschka. You'll be able to enjoy great winter days!
You can also get a DVD including four music videos for the album and a post card with a lovely illustration by Sasha Kharitonova, if you purchase the CD on Ricco Label website.
